Cate Blanchett reveals she never really had plans of joining the film industry.
Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett has revealed that she was unsure if she wanted to become an artiste.
Blanchett,44,won an Oscar for her portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese’s 2004 film ‘The Aviator’,reported
Digital Spy.
“I don’t know if I ever really wanted to be an actor. I’m an active person – the thought of waiting for the phone to ring wasn’t something that sat happily with me.
“But I kept doing it,trying not to do it,and then doing it. There’s such a blessed unrest that you feel all the time, but maybe that’s what keeps you going,” she said.
Blanchett will be next seen in Woody Allen’s movie ‘Blue Jasmine’ and George Clooney’s ‘The Monuments Men’.
