Evan Rachel Wood angry over Hollywood sexism

Evan Rachel Wood lashes out at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Actress Evan Rachel Wood has hit out at sexism in Hollywood after a steamy sex scene was cut from her new movie ‘Charlie Countryman’.

The 26-year-old star lashed out at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA),which is responsible for giving new releases age-appropriate audience ratings in the US,after learning that a scene between her and co-star Shia LaBeouf had been cut from the final version of the film after being deemed inappropriate for audiences.

“After seeing the new cut of ‘Charlie Countryman’ I would like to share my disappointment with the MPAA,who thought it was necessary to censor a woman’s sexuality once again. The

scene where the two main characters make ‘love’ was altered

because someone felt that it made people ‘uncomfortable’ but

the scenes in which people are murdered by having their heads blown off remained intact and unaltered (sic),” Wood posted on Twitter.

The ‘True Blood’ star,who recently welcomed a son with her husband Jamie Bell,went on to accuse the MPAA of sexism,

insisting the scene wouldn’t have been cut had it been a man

receiving pleasure.
