Dune: Prophecy releases first teaser after announcing Tabu as cast member. Watch

Bollywood actor Tabu is all set to star in the Dune prequel series titled Dune: Prophecy and on Wednesday, the makers dropped the first teaser of the much-hyped Max series. The first teaser announces that the show is set 10,000 years before the events of the Dune film and introduces the world of Bene Gesserit, and how they became the architects of this world.

Though fans could not spot Tabu in the teaser, reports suggest that Tabu will be playing Sister Francesca in the show. Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson, and the first season consists of six episodes.

The official description of the show reads, “10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.

Other than Tabu, Dune: Prophecy also stars Emily Watson, Travis Fimmel, Olivia Williams, Mark Strong, Edward Davis, and others in important roles. A Max original series, Dune: Prophecy is said to be released this fall.
