Star Wars icon trolled by Donald Trump’s camp for calling MAGA supporters ‘incompetent bullies’

Donald Trump’s camp fired back at Star Wars legend Mark Hamill after his jab at MAGA supporters.

Mark Hamill Says He Nearly Left U.S. After Trump WinWhite House Mocks Star Wars Icon Mark Hamill Over Trump Criticism

Star Wars and Batman: The Animated Series actor Mark Hamill, 73, admitted he almost left America after Donald Trump won the 2024 election. In a recent interview with The Times of London, he recalled giving his wife two choices, either move to London or Ireland, but in the end, they stayed in the US. Now, a White House spokesperson has fired back, taking a sarcastic swipe at Hamill after he called MAGA supporters “bullies” and “incompetent.”

Hamill, who once lived in London, has always been vocal about his political stance. He voted for Joe Biden, and also supported Kamala Harris during her failed 2024 run. Hamill has spent years mocking Trump, even using his Joker voice on occasion. He admitted he couldn’t stomach another Trump term and even thought about leaving the country, like Rosie O’Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres. But a week later, his wife solved his confusion: ‘She’s very clever. She didn’t respond right away but a week later she said, ‘I’m surprised you would allow him to force you out of your own country,” Hamill said. “That son of a ***, I thought. I’m not leaving,” he said.

Hamill said he’s staying for now, though Trump’s bullying, incompetent cronies make it unbearable at times. “The only way I can survive it without losing my mind, or opening my veins in a warm tub, is to see it as a sprawling, messy political novel,” he explained. After his confession, the White House clapped back with a sarcastic comment. Speaking to Fox news, a spokesperson said since Hamill decided to stay, he’d get to enjoy “the many wins President Trump is securing for the American people, and really, who can blame him for second-guessing a plan to move to the same place as Rosie O’Donnell.

Hamill elsewhere in the interview blasted the Trump administration and even mocked some of Trump’s ideas, like turning Canada into the 51st state, taking over Greenland and renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Hamill said, “It’s entertaining in a way because this could actually be the end. Our status in the world has been crippled and that will reverberate for decades.” Still, Hamill hasn’t fully given up on his country. He said, “I still believe there are more honest, decent people than the MAGA crowd. If I didn’t, I’d move back to England.”

Rosie O’Donnell moved to Ireland with her child after Trump was elected for a second term. She made it clear she won’t set foot back in America until it’s safe and equal for everyone. “I’m not going to push it before this administration is completely finished, and hopefully held accountable for their crimes,” she wrote in a social media post. “When it’s truly safe for all citizens to have equal rights in America, that’s when we’ll consider coming back.” Hamill, on the other hand, has never shied away from slamming Donald Trump, joining celebrities like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Jimmy Kimmel, and more, in backing Kamala Harris. Back in 2020, he even appeared in a Biden-Harris ad, reacting to and mimicking a few clips of Trump ahead of the election.
