“Kidulthood” star Adam Deacon has been found guilty of harassing actor-screenwriter Noel Clarke.

Deacon, 32, sent hundreds of messages to Clarke via social media, and at West London Magistrates’ Court today was convicted of harassment without violence, reported Digital Spy.

“You were aware of the effect that your behaviour would have. You clearly were trying to elicit a response from Mr Clarke, otherwise why post #wallofsilence, #industry and #standuptobullies,” District judge Shenagh Bayne told Deacon.

“I am satisfied so that I am sure that you intended to cause him harassment and distress because of your grievance that goes back a long time,” she added.

The pair had been friends since 2003 and had worked together on several occasions, but had a fallout in 2011 over Deacon’s spoof movie “Anuvahood”.

Clarke wrote the script for 2006’s “Kidulthood”, which featured Deacon as Jay, and wrote, directed and starred in 2008’s follow-up “Adulthood”, which saw the actor reprise his role.

Former Doctor Who star Clarke told the court that after initially working on “Anuvahood” together, Deacon cut him out of it and later went back on a deal not to give the movie that name.

The pair parted ways at this point and Deacon later sent the abuse to Clarke, including claims that he was a bully who sabotaged his career.

Clarke told the court that Deacon sent him “a death threat” when he posted an emoji of a gun alongside pictures of his children.

Deacon was released on bail and will be sentenced on August 20.
