28 Years Later trailer: Danny Boyle promises gut-wrenching horror, watch
Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later stars Jodie Comer, which includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes.

The trailer for Danny Boyle‘s 28 Years Later—the third installment in the 28 Days Later series, following 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later—is out, offering a glimpse into a post-apocalyptic world gripped by the rage virus nearly three decades after its initial outbreak.
Written by Alex Garland, the film is set on a remote island where survivors live under strict quarantine — but one survivor crosses the boundary and unearths a haunting truth. Jodie Comer leads the ensemble cast, which includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, and Ralph Fiennes. Cillian Murphy, who starred in the original 2002 film, returns as executive producer.
The trailer of 28 Years Later opens with scenes of a ravaged UK and depicts the chaos that unfolds as survivors navigate a landscape overrun by the infected. Comer and Taylor-Johnson appear at the center of the action, fighting for survival amid relentless attacks. It closes with a haunting sequence inside a church, where the infected launch a brutal assault — teasing the film’s high-stakes intensity.
28 Years Later continues the legacy of the franchise that began with 28 Days Later, a genre-defining horror thriller that reimagined the zombie apocalypse through the lens of a viral outbreak. Its 2007 follow-up, 28 Weeks Later, expanded the scope of the story with a darker, more militarized tone and introduced new characters grappling with the aftermath of the outbreak. 28 Years Later promises to build on that legacy while exploring new ground — and new horrors — in a world still haunted by the Rage virus.
Produced by Danny Boyle, Alex Garland, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernard Bellew, 28 Years Later will be released in theatres on June 20.
