Zac Efron has not been quite excited about his onscreen roles lately, but with new film ‘Me and Orson Welles’ his stand is a bit different.

Us magazine quoted him as telling NYLON Guys magazine: “It’s the first time I’ve ever watched a movie [that I’m in and in the end I’m like ”OK! I didn’t check my watch once!”

Speaking on the High School Musical popularity,he said: “I try not to look at all of it. You can”t enjoy or celebrate it; it’s not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and s***–you can’t share that with your friends.”

The 21-year-old Efron, who has also ventured successfully into singing, said “there was no effort” in his musical talent.

He added: “I was constantly singing. I would hear things on the radio and just be about to spit them out instantly, with perfect memorization and tone.”

However,he is quick to point out that his crooning certainly did not impress his mum and dad.

Efron said: “My parents were like ”Shut up. Please stop singing. It’s annoying.”
