Model-turned-TV presenter Tyra Banks has joined celebs like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to support the cause of people affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

The 36-year-old star has urged her fans to donate to Haitian-American rapper Wyclef Jean’s Yele organisation to aid the relief effort for the disaster-struck people in the country,Contactmusic reported.

The former runway beauty,alongwith celebrities like Jessica Alba and rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs,has asked her Twitter followers to lend support to those left homeless in the quake which rocked the poverty-stricken nation on Tuesday.

“My thoughts are with all those suffering in Haiti during this major catastrophe. I donated,you should too: text ‘YELE’ to 501501 to donate USD 5,” Banks wrote on her Twitter page.

Jean had issued a desperate plea for donations on Tuesday,asking fans to text in to his charity,with each message worth USD 5.
