Tom Hanks in talks for Kathryn Bigelow’s film

The film,earlier known as 'Triple Frontier',is set in the border zone between Paraguay,Argentina and Brazil.

Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks is in talks to star in ‘Hurt Locker’ director Kathryn Bigelow’s latest project ‘Sleeping Dogs’.

Bigelow,who became first woman to win the coveted best director Oscar trophy last year for the Iraq war drama,has re-united with scriptwriter Mark Boal,also an Oscar-winner,for the crime thriller,reported Variety online.

The film,previously known as ‘Triple Frontier’,is set in the border zone between Paraguay,Argentina and Brazil,which is a haven for organized crime and centers on five men of various ages working in the zone.

Post the Oscars,Bigelow has become hot property in Hollywood and other big names doing the rounds for the film include Leonardo DiCaprio,Christian Bale,Sean Penn and Jeremy Renner.

But the actors are yet to sign on the dotted line.
