‘Sur-Kshetra’ fame,Saibaba Telefilms’ MD Gajendra Singh held

Gajendra Singh (35) is behind the the Indo-Pak reality singing show 'Sur-Kshetra'.

Saibaba Telefilms’ Managing Director Gajendra Singh,touted as the man behind music reality shows in India,has been arrested here after he failed to attend a Kanpur court hearing in a cheating case filed against him,the police said today.

Singh (35) is behind the the Indo-Pak reality singing show ‘Sur-Kshetra’ being aired on on Colors TV and Sahara One TV channel.

He was produced before a local court here today which gave a transit remand,so that he could be produced before a Kanpur court.

He was accused of allegedly cheating a man in Kanpur and failing to appear before a Kanpur court despite repeated summons,the police said.

The Kanpur court then issued a non-bailable warrant against him and its order reached the Mumbai police,which took action accordingly.

Singh forayed into music reality shows with Close-Up Antakshari (92-93) and was instrumental in creating shows like SaReGaMa,Music ka Maha Muqabala,Voice of India I & II,as well as Chotte Ustaad amongst others.
