Sena activists burn posters of ‘My Name Is Khan’

Shiv Sena activists burnt posters of SRK's flick at a film theatre over his remarks favouring Pakistani cricketers.

Shiv Sena activists burnt posters of film actor Shah Rukh Khan’s latest flick at a film theatre here over his remarks favouring inclusion of Pakistani cricketers in the forthcoming Indian Premier League(IPL),police said today.

A group of the Sena workers raised slogans against the actor and burnt the posters of his upcoming film ‘My Name is Khan’ last night,they said.

A party spokesman said it had given a letter to the theatre management two days back to remove posters of the film,to which it did not respond.

Khan,co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders,had recently deplored the exclusion of Pakistani cricketers at IPL auction and had said they should have been welcomed.

“We would have loved to have Pakistani players if they were made available legally,” he had said.

Meanwhile,Patit Pawan Sanghtana (PPS),a right-winged outfit has also come out in support of the Sena in its campaign against the actor.
