Screen Awards: Sonakshi,Ranveer most promising actors

Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh bag the most promising female and male award for Dabanng and Band Baja Baraat.

Newcomers Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh bagged the most promising female and male award for ‘Dabanng’ and ‘Band Baja Baraat’ respectively.

The Promising Newcomer Director Award went to Manish Sharma for his film on two wedding planners.

Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif were adjudged as Best Actor and Actress in the popular choice category for their performances in ‘My Name is Khan’ and ‘Raajneeti’ respectively. The special Ramnath Goenka Award also went to the Shahrukh-Kajol starrer.

Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapur hosted the four-hour extravaganza held at the MMRDA grounds at Bandra last night.

The event will be telecast on Star Plus later this month.
