Pop star Katy Perry is reportedly lined up to star alongside husband Russell Brand in a film adaptation of the Broadway show,'Rock Of Ages'. The 'Firework' hitmaker is gearing up to play an exotic dancer in the movie musical,despite previously claiming that she wouldn't work with her comedian husband on any future projects,reported Daily Star. Brand,35,is just "days away" from signing on to appear in the film,which will star Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx,Alec Baldwin as rock club owner Dennis Dupree,Julianne Hough as Kansas-transplant Sherrie,Mary J Blige as strip club owner vJustice and Paul Giamatti as the manager of Jaxx's band. "Once we knew we had Russell's interest we suggested that Katy might like to appear in the film as well,and she said she would love to," said a source. "The contracts are being drawn up now but we are confident that once shooting starts in Miami in May that she will drop by in between her Teenage Dream tour." 'Rock of Ages' is set in 1987 on the Sunset Strip,where small town girl Sherrie meets a big city rocker at the LA's most famous rock club. Their love story is told through the hits of Journey,Bon Jovi,Styx,Pat Benatar,Foreigner,Twisted Sister,Asia,Whitesnake and many more.
