Legal troubles are brewing for socialite Paris Hilton as she is facing battle with a shoe company over allegations of copying their design for her own range of footwear.

Executives at New York-based firm Gwyneth Shoes are suing Hilton for trademark and patent infringement,according to documents filed last week,celebrity website TMZ.com reported.

The 28-year-old reality TV star is accused of stealing the idea to include a heart-shaped pad on her heels’ insoles,a design the company’s top brass claim they had filed to patent in 2007.

The hotel heiress had released the range in question during February last year.

The attorneys for the company are now demanding Hilton to hand over every pair of shoes that feature the pink heart.
