Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton split

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have decided to to part ways amicably after a relationship of two years.

‘The Pussycat Dolls’ singer Nicole Scherzinger and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton have decided to to part ways amicably after a relationship of two years.

The 25-year old racing driver and the 31-year-old singer who have been together for two years said they were putting their careers first,the Sun reported online.

“They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends,” their spokesman said in a statement.

Tough times are ahead of Hamilton who needs to get the break-up behind him as Michael Schumacher is out of retirement and with current World champion Jenson Button signed as his McLaren teammate,he faces a struggle to win back his F1 crown.

On the other hand Hawaiian beauty Nicole,who once described Hamilton as her “soulmate”,is busy charting a solo career and trying her hands on acting.

The pair met at the MTV Europe Awards in Munich in November 2007 and started dating the following year.

In the past,despite hectic schedules Nicole continued to accompany Hamilton to Grands Prix all over the world and he would often watch her perform and it was rumoured that the lovers were planning to tie the knot after Hamilton’s father called Nicole “one of the family”.

However,last September the lovers were reported to have split over their busy schedules but they reunited later only to seperate.

Hamilton had previously dated Grenadan beauty queen Vivian Burkhardt while Nicole broke-up with with actor Talan Torriero in 2007.
