The shooting of Kunal Deshmukh’s Shatir took off last week. A seven-day spell was held in Mumbai and Dharamshala with lead actors Emraan Hashmi and Paresh Rawal. The cast also includes Kay Kay Menon, but what is interesting is that the female lead will be played by Pakistani actress Humaima Malik. She is reportedly one of the most popular and amongst the highest paid actresses in Pakistan. She started modelling as a teenager and made her film debut with a social drama Bol which went on to become one of the highest grossing films in Pakistan.

When contacted,Deshmukh said,“I can’t confirm anything right now,” but a reliable source confirmed that Humaima is indeed playing the female lead.

The story revolves around Hashmi who plays a conman in the film. The next schedule of Shatir, which is being produced by Disney UTV,will be post Diwali.
