Hollywood actor Jude Law would demand a DNA test to confirm the paternity of the unborn child being carried by aspiring actress Samantha Burke who has claimed that the 'Alfie' star is the father. The British actor has vowed to stand by Burke, but has apparently told friends he wants to be "100 per cent certain" that the child is his, reported News of the World online. "At the moment Jude doesn't know for sure he is the father. He thinks he is,but he wants to be 100 per cent certain. There has been a lot of speculation. But if it is his baby girl he'll be there for her every step of the way," a friend of his told the newspaper. The American model's family is angered by his demand for a paternity test and insist that Law is the father of the unborn child and that his behaviour was not up to the standards of an 'English gentleman'. The paternity test could be carried out while the 24-year-old model and television actress is pregnant but carries a risk of harming the baby or even bringing on early labour. Instead Burke, who is seven months pregnant, has told relatives the DNA tests will be carried out once the baby, said to be a girl,is born. Reports last week suggested that the 36-year-old actor, would not insist on a paternity test and Burke's lawyers released a statement saying he had been 'nothing but supportive'.
