‘Inglorious Bastards’ gave me variety: Diane Kruger

Kruger credits her role of an actress-turned-saboteur in 'Inglorious Bastards' for helping her land complex roles.

Hollywood beauty Diane Kruger credits her role of an actress-turned-saboteur in ‘Inglourious Basterds’ for helping her land complex roles.

In the Quentin Tarantino movie, the actress portrayed the character of Bridget von Hammersmark, which helped her get the role of Gina in her upcoming film ‘Unknown’,Stylist Magazine reported.

“Inglourious Basterds helped make a change in the sense of what kind of part I could be offered or at least be considered for. I really think if I hadn’t done ‘Inglourious Basterds’ I might have been considered for the part January plays. Mine is a much more complex part,in terms of the layers,” said the 34-year-old actress.

Kruger is paired opposite Irish actor Liam Neeson in ‘Unknown’ and was impressed by his way of working. “What I liked about him is he was very gracious in the sense of understanding what I was trying to do. Plus I was doing a Bosnian accent and that always takes a lot of time. He really gave me the space and time I needed to get it right. And that was really sweet of him because this is his movie really. I really appreciated that,” she added.
