After days of speculation,Katy Perry has finally spoken out about her rumoured pregnancy,revealing that she is not expecting fiance Russell Brand’s baby.

The 25-year-old singer gave a bit too much information on her Twitter micro-blogging page when she revealed she had started her period.

After being teased about her ‘pregnancy’ by her friend Lukasz Gottwald,Perry replied,”You’re gonna make me cry,maybe that’s my period though. That’s right I’m bleeding. Better luck next month.”

Hours before her revelation,Perry was spotted wearing a cropped t-shirt which showed off her flat stomach.

Speculation grew that the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer was expecting after she posted a series of Twitter comments which hinted that she was pregnant.

The day after her New Year’s Eve engagement in India,the singer wrote,”Let me tell you 2010 is BUMPIN!”

A few days later,she wrote on Brand’s page,’Hey @rustyrockets (Brand’s Twitter name) I heard ur prego-ed.’

In the past week,the singer said several times she was having cravings for ‘In N Out’ burgers which are only available in her native California.
