‘Pearl Harbour’ star Josh Hartnett who was recently hospitalised after a stomach infection, has blamed the water from third world countries for his affliction.
The actor who had visited Africa last year as part of a charity programme, said that he got the infection from the polluted water he drank during the trip, reported People.
“I’ve spent a lot of time in third world countries and I drink the water occasionally when I shouldn’t,I shower and sometimes it catches up with you,” said Hartnett.
But the 30-year-old actor brushed off the hospitalisation episode, saying that it was blown up by the media to create a scare.
“I’m fine,I had a stomach bug ,it was literally, like,a 24 hour thing. It was made into a huge deal, they wanna come up with whatever they want to come up with,” said the actor who was named one of Hollywod’s most eligible bachelors by OK magazine recently.
Hartnett was rushed to a hospital here in the wee hours of the night, last month from celebrity hot spot Cheateau Marmont, but Hartnett joked off the incident saying that he has no plans to die in the near future.
“I’ll be around for awhile,” said the actor.
