Ghanchakkar starts slow at box office

The multiplexes were slightly better,but overall Ghanchakkar was below the mark.

Ghanchakkar,which teams UTV,Rajkumar Gupta and Vidya Balan after No One Killed Jessica had a lackluster start in morning and noon shows.

The movie,which released today,was slightly better at the multiplexes but overall the movie was below the mark.

The response at single screens was poor,which comes as a surprise,since film’s lead actor Emraan Hashmi enjoys a tremendous following amongst masses.

The business will have to multiply rapidly in evening and night shows,if it has to sustain at the Box office.

Indian Express’ critic Shubra Gupta also said the movie could have been so much more fun.

Shubra further says the movie is “pretty much like a running gag that starts out funny and ends up as an eye-glaze.”
