Chery Cole’s rape threat suspect arrested

A teenager has been arrested in connection with an alleged rape threat aimed at pop star Cheryl Cole.

Police launched an investigation in March after British TV host Dermot O’Leary alerted cops to a sexually threatening voice message left on his phone targeting Cole.

A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of malicious communication and later released on bail.

Cole’s representative previously confirmed the star was aware of the message,but had not listened to it.

A seven-member team from the Madhya Pradesh Police, led by Jitendra Jaat, Deputy Superintendent of Police, arrested Ranganathan from his residence within the Ashok Nagar police station limits in Kodambakkam.
