‘Career Day’ at school inspired Dicaprio to take up acting

Leonardo DiCaprio had no clue of what do in life until he went to his school's 'Career Day'.

Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio had no clue of what do in life until he went to his school’s ‘Career Day’,where he was told that he could earn his bread and butter by acting.

The ‘Titanic’ star admits he didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life until he was told he could make a living out of acting,Contactmusic reported.

“I was 12 and people were coming to our school to inform us about different professions. There was a salesman,a biologist… and suddenly someone said,’Acting is a profession as well.’ And I thought ‘What? You can earn money with that?’ From that moment on it was clear that I wanted to try it,” DiCaprio said.

The 35-year-old actor is grateful to his ‘Career Day’ as it told him what path to take in life but insists it could have turned out so differently if he hadn’t been listening.

“It was one of the most daunting experiences of my life, because everything could have come differently if I wouldn’t have been concentrating on what was said. I think it’s scary, this haphazardness of life. I could have been distracted on that day,” DiCaprio said.
