Barfi wins Best Film at Okinawa
Anurag Basu's film however,missed out on the National Awards held recently.
Anurag Basu’s film Barfi may have missed out on the National Awards recently; however the film has received a thunderous response from the far East. News is that, Barfi won the Best Film Award at the recent Okinawa International Film Festival.
Tweeting his delight,director Anurag Basu posted,”#Barfi won the Grand Jury Prize @ Okinawa international Film Fest in Japan! winning @ okinava ws spl cz #Barfi was up against my fav film ‘Beasts of the southern wild‘,winner at Cannes and had 4 oscar nominations.”
However,the news of the win was revealed by co-producer Roocha Pathak who tweeted,”@basuanurag @ronniescrewvala @utvfilms Congrats! We won the Grand Jury Prize @ Okinawa Intnl Film Fest!”
