After Victoria Beckham and Nicolette Sheridan,it was the turn of Indian actor Anil Kapoor to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game here.
That makes the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star the first Indian actor to have the honour of throwing the first pitch at a Major League match and the actor proved to be lucky for the team as it went on to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Kapoor has become a well known face internationally thanks to his role in the multiple Oscar winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ where he portrayed the show host Prem Kumar.
The 50-year-old actor is set to star in the upcoming eighth and final season of the Emmy-winning Fox drama ’24’ which will mark the actor’s debut on American television.
