A day after his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma’s remarks about their divorce went viral on the internet, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal shared a cryptic post on social media. While playing for Northamptonshire in England’s One-Day Cup 2025 recently, the spin-bowler dropped his photos from his trip to Kirkstone Pass. However, it was his suggestive caption that became the talk of the town.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Yuzvendra posted a cryptic message, which read, “Million feelings, Zero words”. He shared the post shortly after Dhanashree opened up about their divorce in an interview with Humans of Bombay. From Chahal calling their marriage ‘fake’ to his ‘Be your own Sugar Daddy’ to calling out his ‘immature statements’, the actor-content creator addressed several allegations during the heartfelt conversation.

The cricketer sparked controversy after he came out of the court wearing a T-shirt with the text “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” after their divorce verdict was finalised. “He walked out first, that whole thing happened with the T-shirt and media, and I wasn’t aware about it because I was still inside. I got out from the back gate because I was not liking that. It was just very sad, you don’t want cameras all over your face. Humko kuch nahi bataana tha, I was wearing normal t-shirt and jeans. I sat in the car, my best friend was there with me, and we were still trying to grasp our breath. It was that shaky moment, especially when you know people will blame you only,” Dhanashree said during the podcast.

“Even before I knew about this T-shirt stunt, we were aware that people were going to hold me responsible for the divorce. In your head, you just want to move forward once it’s over. Until I took out my phone and saw it, I didn’t want to believe it. Ye sach mein isne aisa kiya? (Did he really do this?) In that one second, I was like—it’s over. Why should I cry? Somewhere I felt bad, questioning myself—main kyu ro rahi thi? (Why was I crying?) For this? That was the motivation I needed: I just had to laugh it out,” she added.

Yuzvendra had also alleged in his Raj Shamani podcast that they were faking their relationship towards the end. Speaking about the same, she said, “There is a reason why we say personal life. It has to be private. A coin has two sides. You cannot clap with a single hand. Just because I am not speaking, doesn’t give anybody the power to take advantage of that. Its not correct and I don’t think it should happen with anybody. Its done and dusted, please move on. I do have lots to talk about it, I have my side of the story to it, but do I want to dwell into that? No. Right now, I am working on fixing myself.”

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma filed for divorce in February, last year, which was finalized earlier this year. After their divorce, Dhanashree faced brutal online criticism and trolling, including accusations of infidelity. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra is rumoured to be dating content creator RJ Mahvash.
