In his 5-year-long career, “Love Sex aur Dhoka” fame actor Anshuman Jha has never been part of a co-directed project, but after working in upcoming film “X: Past is Present” he calls it a ‘rare experiment’.
“X: Past is Present” is helmed by a team of 11 directors, who would be directing different segments of the film, which is not an anthology.
“It was exciting to be a part of something which has never happened before. Working with different filmmakers, for the same film… It’s a rare experiment,” Anshuman told PTI.
The actor, who made his debut with Dibakar Banerjee’s “Love Sex Aur Dhoka”, plays a character called ‘K’, from the age of 16 to 29.
The older part of his character is played by actor Rajat Kapoor.
“It is quite crazy as all of them are different thinkers, diverse filmmakers. Each segment will be unique. Even I had to modulate my voice as my character was ageing to sound mature,” he added.
Anshuman has worked with actress Huma Qureshi and Swara Bhaskar in the film and says both are different from each other yet similar.
“I had a fantastic time working with them. Huma is clinical, Swara is instinctive. They both have different approaches but create magic in their own way. They have a very natural, easy comfort around them,” he said.
The actor will be next seen in Onir’s “Chauranga” with Tanishtha Chatterjee and Pradeep Singrole’s “Robinhood Ke Pote”.
“X: Past is Present” is scheduled to release on November 20.
