When Feroz Khan docked Zeenat Aman’s payment for reporting late to film set: ‘Begum, you’re late and you’re going to pay’

Zeenat Aman dropped a photo with Feroz Khan, offering a glimpse into their '70s journey and shared interesting anecdotes about working together in Qurbani.

Veteran actor Zeenat Aman has been making a splash on Instagram. People love her unique way of telling stories, and that’s why they call her the “queen” of Instagram. She joined Instagram at the age of 71, and her first post was a cool selfie with a note about the 1970s.

In her latest post, Zeenat shared a photo with Feroz Khan and narrated a story. Back in the ’70s, Feroz offered her a small role in his movie, but she said no. Feroz got really mad and said some not-so-nice things. The actor said, “It was a secondary part, and so I politely refused the offer. Feroz was incensed and let out a stream of expletives while I held the receiver away from my ear.”

But later, he offered her the lead role in Qurbani, and she said yes. Zeenat also shared a story about being late to the set after partying all night. Feroz wasn’t happy and cut her pay for being late. Zeenat said that he was a cool and talented guy, and working on Qurbani is still one of her favorite memories.

The veteran actor wrote, “I was quite a diligent worker, but on one occasion my youth got the better of me. Though we had an early call time the next day, I agreed to go out to a party. It was a fantastic night of dance and drink, and unsurprisingly I landed up one hour late to set.”

She continued, “Feroz was glowering behind his camera, and before I could offer him my meagre excuse, he cut me down to size. “Begum, you’re late and you’re going to pay for the delay.” No argument, no scolding, but you can be sure that he docked my pay to pay the crew for that one hour delay.”

Zeenat ended her post by wishing everyone a great start to 2024.
