His new production “Bangistan” spreads the message of peace and harmony through a satire on terrorism.

“There are some stories which we write, some are what we have read somewhere or asked a writer to write on, while some stories are ones which writers approach us with. Farhan, however, said it was not possible for all films to have a social message.

“You don’t get the opportunity in every film, like in the ‘Don’ series. But if you get the opportunity, you should try to do something, which might prompt a person to think and which leaves an impression on their minds that ‘filmmakers have conveyed a good point, let me think about it’.

Most of the films from Farhan’s banner Excel Entertainment have had the theme and importance of friendship, like “Dil Chahta Hai”, “Rock On”, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and “Fukrey”. At the same time, ambition and achievement in “Lakshya” and family emotions in “Dil Dhadakne Do” were also well portrayed.
