Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli unwind with a game of pickleball after his Test retirement announcement, fans call them ‘king and queen’

Virat Kohli took some time off to enjoy a game of pickleball with his wife Anushka Sharma. The cricketer recently announced his retirement from Test cricket.

After announcing his retirement from Test cricket, Virat Kohli has been busy with the IPL 2025 season. However, amid his packed schedule, the cricketer took some time off to enjoy a game of pickleball with his wife, Anushka Sharma, as the couple indulged in some quality time together.

The official Instagram account of Virat’s IPL team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), posted photos of the couple along with other cricketers. In the pictures, both Virat and Anushka were seen playing for the same team, dressed in stylish athleisure outfits. While Virat wore a blue T-shirt and black shorts, Anushka sported a white T-shirt paired with maroon leggings. The post also featured RCB mentor and former cricketer Dinesh Karthik along with his wife, professional squash player Dipika Pallikal, who also participated in the game. Bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar made an appearance in the post as well.

Fans were excited to see the couple together. A fan wrote in the comments section, “King & queen… 😍😍.” Another fan wrote, “Couple goals ft.Bhaiya & Bhabhi ji 🥹🎀🫶🏻.” One more fan wrote, “Bhabhiji is hereeee finally 😭😭😭😭😭🎀🎀🎀🎀❤️❤️❤️.”

Virat recently announced his retirement from his 14-year-long Test career. Soon after the announcement, Virat and Anushka visited Vrindavan to seek blessings from Sant Premanand Govind Sharan. Anushka later took to Instagram to share an emotional note, reflecting on Virat’s journey in Test cricket and highlighting the dedication and sacrifice he poured into the format.

She wrote, “They’ll talk about the records and the milestones — but I’ll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game. I know how much all this took from you. After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler — and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege. Somehow, I always imagined you’d retire international cricket in whites — But you’ve always followed your heart, and so I just want to say my love, you’ve earned every bit of this goodbye ❤️.”

Virat and Anushka tied the knot in a dreamy wedding ceremony in Italy in 2017. The couple welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in 2021, and their son, Akaay, in 2024.
