Vijay wishes Team Baby John a ‘blockbuster success’; Varun Dhawan, Atlee thank the superstar

In a rare gesture, Vijay took to his official social media account to wish Atlee and team Baby John a 'blockbuster success' a day ahead of its worldwide release.

Vijay wishes Varun Dhawan's Baby John becomes a blockbuster successVijay wishes team Baby John ahead of its release on Christmas.

It is no secret that filmmaker Atlee shares a very special bond with actor-politician Vijay. They have worked in three films — Theri, Mersal and Bigil — and each of them was a bonafide blockbuster that elevated the stardom of Vjiay and the directorial credentials of Atlee. In fact, it was in Mersal that Vijay adopted the tag of ‘Thalapathy’ which continues to be his moniker among fans and political supporters. Atlee, who recently directed Jawan, and is backing Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film, Baby John, never fails to mention Vijay’s contribution to his career.

Interestingly, Atlee and his wife Priya Atlee’s debut Hindi production is a remake of Vijay’s Theri, which marked the maiden collaboration of the actor and the filmmaker. In a very rare social media post from his account as an actor, Vijay shared the poster of Baby John, and wished the team a blockbuster success.
