Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal have a dreamy love story. The couple were childhood friends, which eventually blossomed into romance, marriage, and last year they welcomed their first child, daughter Lara. Varun has been just as vocal about his love for his dog Joey, whom he often addresses as his best friend. In a recent interaction with Twinkle Khanna and Kajol on their talk show Too Much With Twinkle and Kajol, the Bhediya actor opened up about both - his love story with Natasha and his bond with his pet. Talking about how he fell in love with Natasha, he said, "I fell in love in Natasha when I was in 5th standard, when I saw her for the first time at the basketball court the first time.In school we didn't take it seriously but when we became friends, I found her to be kind and an amazing human being, which I felt I didn't have those traits. So, I always looked up to her for the traits she has as a human being. I just stare at her playing with Lara and then she says, 'Stop staring, now you hold her.'" Varun also spoke passionately about his pet dog Joey, admitting how much he has impacted his life. He said, "I personally changed a lot after I got my dog Joey." Twinkle then asked him, "You didn't change because of the baby but you changed because of the dog?" To this, Alia chimed in, "The dog came first and he was prepped by Joey before the baby came." Varun explained how Joey actually prepared him to welcome Lara into his life. He said, "He would poop and pee.I came to a point where I could do anything for Joey. And I don't say this in front of the camera to sound cool but I don't differentiate between my dog and my child. It's the first time I have had a dog. That bond which I have with him, I don't think I can have that bond with any other living being." On the professional front, Varun was last seen in Baby John, which unfortunately turned out to be a box office failure. He is now awaiting the release of his upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf. He also has the much-anticipated Border 2 lined up in the pipeline.
