There is a mole in London embassy, and everyone is a suspect, including India's youngest deputy high commissioner, Janhvi Kapoor. The makers of the thriller Ulajh on Tuesday dropped its first trailer, which features Janhvi navigating through an international diplomatic crisis, which has her character dubbed as a spy and a traitor. Also starring Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew, the thriller is directed by National Award-winner Sudhanshu Saria. The trailer follows the rise of Janhvi Kapoor's Suhana Bhatia, a young diplomat embroiled in a treacherous personal conspiracy during her crucial assignment at the London embassy. "Some say that nepotism played a major role in her appointment," says a TV presenter, as Roshan Mathew taunts, "What does she have, other than her family surname?" As the world of Ulajh gets denser, Janhvi finds herself caught in a web of conspiracies and deception as she is accused of being a spy. "He has used me like a sacrificial lamb. What will the lamb do now? Hunt the tiger down," Janhvi roars as she sets out to prove her innocence, even as everyone around her is suspicious of her. "It has been a humbling and fascinating experience. Working with Sudhanshu Saria has been incredibly enriching; he made me push my own boundaries. Suhana's character is strong and multi-dimensional, and I found a personal connection to some shades of the character that enabled me to deliver an authentic performance." Director Sudhanshu Saria called Ulajh a film about the "conundrum of choices" which rolls out in the high stakes world of international diplomacy. "Directing this spectacular cast, led by Janhvi, Gulshan, and Roshan has been a privilege and they have all brought remarkable depth to their characters and elevated the narrative." Amrita Pandey, CEO of Junglee Pictures added that film features one of Janhvi's "career-best performances."
