Too early to say if I will direct or not anymore ‘Welcome’ franchise: Anees Bazmee
When asked about helming the third installment of 'Welcome' franchise, Anees Bazmee told Indian Express.Com over phone: "It's too early to say whether I will direct it or not. Nothing is confirmed for the moment."

While response to ‘Welcome Back’ has immensely pleased its director Anees Bazmee, speculations are rife that he may not helm the third installment of the now successful franchise. However when asked about it, Anees told Indian Express.Com over phone: “It’s too early to say whether I will direct it or not. Nothing is confirmed for the moment. If I am paid my price, I will. After all, I work very hard. Also, it depends on the story because that is what the audience come for ultimately.”
It was reported that Anees had a fall out with producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala over pay issues for ‘Welcome Back’. When quizzed about it, Anees said: “There is no animosity between us. Yes, when you work hard what you are paid becomes an important issue. And if you share a great 11 year relation with someone, you will have small issues here and there. But I am not a person who will harbour ill feelings against anyone for trivial pay issues.”

For the moment, Anees is focused on his next project with Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Aankhen 2’. While Big B reprises his role, the blind men from the prequel will have new actors. Anil Kapoor too joins the star cast with an important role.
