Tiger 3 trailer: Salman Khan fights menacing Emraan Hashmi to save nation and family, says ‘it’s personal’
Tiger 3 trailer: Salman Khan returns to save his family — Pak spy Zoya, played by Katrina Kaif, and their son — from the menacing Emraan Hashmi in the third iteration of YRF franchise.

The OG spy is back. Superstar Salman Khan is ready to set the big screen on fire with his latest actioner Tiger 3, the trailer of which dropped on Monday. The Yash Raj Films backed movie features Salman playing his fan favorite character of the titular spy.
The Tiger 3 trailer, which is under 3-minutes long, packages relentless action, mounted on the biggest scale the audience has witnessed this year. Tiger 3, which follows the events of the previous two films in the franchise as well as War and Pathaan, looks high on intensity and emotions.

The trailer features Salman torn between fighting to save the country and trying to protect his family, Pakistani agent Katrina Kaif, as Zoya, and his child. “This time it’s personal,” Salman says as he jets out to make the impossible mission possible.
The trailer follows the beats of the Tiger franchise—which began with Kabir Khan’s 2012 Ek Tha Tiger—and showcases grounded action pieces, driven primarily by drama and emotions. A stark contrast from Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, of the same spy universe, which was more flamboyant, lighter in tonality and thrived on style.
Tiger 3 trailer gives a sneak peek into Emraan Hashmi’s character of the main antagonist, who has held Tiger captive in Pakistan. The actor’s salt-and-pepper look, which was kept under guards for months, is finally revealed as the closing shot is showcased, setting the stage for an intense face-off between Emraan and Salman.
Tiger 3 will release on Sunday, November 12 which is Diwali day. The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma, who had previously helmed films like Fan, Band Baaja Baaraat among others. Salman Khan had earlier spoken about the action in Tiger 3. “What I love about the Tiger franchise is that the protagonist is presented as the larger-than-life Hindi film hero who can take on an army of people with his bare hands. He is okay shedding blood and still keep standing till everyone around him is finished.”
The actor, who has played Tiger in two earlier iterations and did a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan, added, “The heroism (of Tiger) is in him taking the challenge head on and not back down just as a real-life tiger would do when he hunts his prey. My character, Tiger, will never retreat from a fight. He will never give up till he is breathing and he will be the last man standing for his country.”
