Director Sanjay Gupta, who has been busy with the shooting of his much-talked about film ‘Jazbaa’ with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is planning a sequel to his hit film ‘Kaante’ which had Sanjay Dutt.

But the director says there can be no ‘Kaante 2’ without his close friend Sanjay Dutt, who is currently in jail for the 1993 Mumbai Blasts case.

“There can be no KAANTE Sequel without Sanjay Dutt,” Sanjay wrote on his twitter timeline.

He tweeted:

‘Kaante’ was a 2002 action film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lucky Ali, Kumar Gaurav, Namrata Singh Gujral, Rati Agnihotri, Malaika Arora and Isha Koppikar in the lead roles. The film was based on Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Reservoir Dogs’ and Tarantino was also quoted as saying that ‘Kaante’ was the favourite among the many rip-offs of his film. It was the first Bollywood film to have been completely shot in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Gupta has also locked the teaser of Aishwarya Rai’s Jazbaa.
