Tejas box office collection Day 3: Kangana Ranaut’s actioner ends first weekend without crossing Rs 4 crore mark
Tejas box office collection Day 3: Sarvesh Mewara's Tejas has joined the list of Kangana Ranaut's box office bombs, unable to reach even the Rs 4 crore mark during its opening weekend in theatres.

In yet another major setback for Kangana Ranaut, who has been struggling with consecutive box-office disasters, her latest actioner Tejas ended its opening weekend in theaters without being able to cross even the Rs 4 crore mark in the domestic market.
On its third day in theatres on Sunday, the film did not register any improvement in box office figures and minted an India nett of just Rs 1.3 crore, the same amount it eked out the previous day, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.
Even on its release day on Friday, the movie did not find many takers and ended up earning just Rs 1.25 crore, significantly lower than its reported budget of a whopping Rs 60 crore.
On Sunday, Tejas recorded just an 8.37 per cent overall Hindi occupancy. Initially, during the morning shows, the movie witnessed a 5.80 per cent occupancy within the Hindi market. As the day progressed, the percentage experienced a slight, but negligible, increase, reaching 8.79 per cent during the afternoon showings, 10.94 per cent for the evening shows, and dipping drastically to 7.96 per cent during night screenings.
According to the Sacnilk forecast, the film is set to fail its first Monday test miserably, earning just Rs 54 lakh nationwide. The film has not been seeing any footfall in the overseas market either and has recorded only Rs 25 lakh in that arena so far.
Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara, Tejas revolves around a fictional Indian Air Force pilot and her mission to rescue hostages from terrorists. The film also stars Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vishak Nair in key roles.
Meanwhile, after Tejas bombed at the box office, Kangana posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), noting that those wishing her “ill” will have to lead a “forever miserable” lives as she is unstoppable.
The actor said she is “destined” to do “significant” things in life and mentioned how she left home aged 15 from Himachal Pradesh to follow her dreams. Haters, she said, should rather join her “fan clubs” as then they will be aligned with her “larger universal plan”.
In her review of the film, The Indian Express’ Shubhra Gupta wrote: “The film is so intent upon keeping Kangana Ranaut centre-stage that everyone else ends up as satellites.”
