Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma, who will soon be seen together in Netflix's Lust Stories in Sujoy Ghosh's short film, recently opened up about their first impressions of each other on the shoot. In an interview, Tamannaah said that she was excited to get a chance to work with Vijay and added that he has been "extremely consistent in delivering performances." Vijay called Tamannaah an "icon" and said that she has "so much to offer." Talking to News18, Tamannaah called Vijay a "chameleon" and said, "I definitely thought that I am going to get a chance to work with an actor who has been so consistent in delivering performances, which are so diverse and so powerful and he is quite a chameleon. He really changes, even with the way he approaches a certain character." She added that she has seen "all of his work from his past" and told herself that even if she doesn't get anything out of this project, this would be her chance to "learn a little" from Vijay and Sujoy. Vijay, when speaking about her first impression of Tamannaah on the set, said, "The surprising and beautiful part of this was how willing and how ready she was to hop on and explore this story and this character." Vijay said that he had seen "some of her work" including Baahubali and just before the shoot, he watched her film Babli Bouncer, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. "I just felt like she has got so much to give, so much to offer," he said. Recalling the time on the shoot, Tamannaah said that they shot only for 7-8 days but it was a "gruelling" process. She shared that since she was "really unwell", she had to cancel her first day of the shoot. "Vijay just thought I had cold feet. Everyone had weird ideas of what's going on," she laughed and recalled. Vijay and Tamannaah apparently started dating after they met on the set of Lust Stories 2. The rumours of the couple dating each other first started when they were spotted together at a New Year's party in Goa. Recently, Tamannaah, in a chat with Film Companion, said that Vijay was her "happy place" and said that he is "a person who I care about deeply."
