Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev shares her health update: ‘She’s doing much better’

Sushmita Sen’s fans were shocked when they learnt about her heart attack. The actor is doing “much better” now and is back at work. In a recent interview, her brother Rajeev Sen opened up about her health and said that “what happened was quite unfortunate”.

When asked about her health, Rajeev told ETimes, “She’s absolutely fine now with the blessings of God. What happened was quite unfortunate, health is something which is quite unpredictable, things can happen. But touchwood she’s doing much better, she’s back to work.”

Rajeev Sen spoke about his sister’s physical and mental strength and said, “She is mentally very strong, physically too. You need to be… It’s never easy to manage two kids and to be an actor at the same time.” He added that Sushmita is “larger than life” and has always been the pillar of support for the Sen family.

Sushmita Sen suffered a heart attack while shooting for Aarya Season 3 in Jaipur. Actor Vikas Kumar, who essays the role of ACP Khan in the Disney Plus Hotstar series, told News18 that the team only learnt about the heart attack when Sushmita shared it with the world. “Unfortunately, Sushmita Sen suffered a heart attack. We didn’t know at first about it. Ultimately in a couple of days, we got to know, as she revealed it to the world,” he said.

Sushmita had shared via Instagram that she got an angioplasty, and a stent put in her heart. The actor thanked those who supported her during the health crisis.
