Srikanth box office collection day 9: On Saturday, Rajkummar Rao-starrer Srikanth minted Rs 2.25 crore and had an overall 18.20 per cent Hindi occupancy.

Rajkummar Rao-starrer Srikanth is holding steady at the box-office. After more than a week of its release, the film is still minting moolah. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, the movie has collected Rs 22.53 crore in India in nine days. On Saturday, the film minted Rs 2.25 crore and had an overall 18.20 per cent Hindi occupancy.

Industry tracker Taran Adarsh took to X and wrote, “#Srikanth gathers speed, biz accelerates on [second] Sat… Urban centres continue to dominate and post strong footfalls… Lack of major film/s in the marketplace has given its biz a boost… Also, a section of the movie-going audience has liked the film, which reflects in its numbers. [Week 2] Fri 1.67 cr, Sat 2.82 cr. Total: ₹ 22.53 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”

Chennai recorded the highest occupancy for Hindi shows, followed by cities like Bangalore and Pune.

Srikanth also stars Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. The film is based on the real-life story of industrialist Srikanth Bolla. Despite being visually impaired, Bolla courageously chased his dreams of creating jobs for individuals with disabilities in India.

Bollywood actors have heaped praise on Rajkummar Rao and the makers of Srikanth. Akshay Kumar took to social media and wrote, “Nothing is impossible. #Srikanth is a must watch! Picture dekh ke mazza aa gaya. Rajkummar Rao, bhai ab toh acting classes shuru kar de. You are simply brilliant.” Rajkummar replied, “Thank you so much my dearest Akshay sir. Aapse hi seekhte hai sir. You’re the best.” Ranveer Singh wrote, “An uplifting story & a beautiful performance from a special actor. Congrats to the team of #Srikanth.”
