Sonam Kapoor nostalgic as debut film Saawariya completes nine years

It may seem hard to believe but Sanjay leela Bhansali’s Saawariya has completed nine years and so have the two stars who debuted with the movie, Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. The actor entered the industry with co-star Ranbir Kapoor nine years ago and celebrated the day with a sweet message on Instagram about her “incredible” journey so far.

The 31-year-old star shared a poster of the 2007 romantic drama on social media and asked her fans to celebrate the moment with her. Sonam shared stills from the film, with the caption, “And what an incredible journey it’s been so far… #9yearsofSaawariya! Relive the #nostalgia with me! #SanjayLeelaBhansali #RanbirKapoor.”

Though Ranbir is also a part of the film but we wonder how he felt on this day, as he is not there on any social media platform. But we are sure, Saawariya being his first, certainly, holds a special place. At present, the actor is enjoying the success of his recent release, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

While this film of Ranbir and Sonam did not do well at the box office, Sonam was applauded for her work in movies like Raanjhanaa, Khoobsurat, and Neerja, while Ranbir’s performances in Barfi, Rockstar and Ye Jawani Hai Dewaani have been appreciated.
