Sky Force box office collection day 1 early report: After appearing in the film Khel Khel Mein in August last year, Akshay Kumar is back in a full-fledged role in Sky Force. The movie, which also marks the debut of Veer Pahariya, tells the story of India’s retaliatory attack on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. On Day 1, Sky Force has earned Rs 10.81 crore as of 9;30 pm, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.
Sky Force witnessed a total occupancy of 15.71% with about 4900 shows across India. The film released a week after Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, and Ajay Devgn’s Azaad. Emergency earned just Rs 23 lakh on its second Friday. The shows have also reduced to about 700 across India. Meanwhile, Azaad has over 1000 shows across India.
Apart from Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, Sky Force also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles.

Sky Force has opened to better numbers than Akshay Kumar’s previous releases, Khel Khel Mein and Sarfira. These films had opened at Rs 5.05 crore and Rs 2.5 crore, respectively. They then witnessed a downfall in collection over the week. Akshay had also briefly appeared in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which too underperformed at the box office.
Akshay Kumar’s last hit was OMG 2, also starring Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role. The film, made on a budget of Rs 60 crore, earned Rs 221.75 crore worldwide.
