Singham Again: Ajay Devgn shares Kareena Kapoor’s first look from Rohit Shetty’s cop universe

The makers of Singham Again have officially confirmed and introduced Kareena Kapoor’s character in the film. Kareena is set to reprise her role of Avni Kamat from Singham Returns (2014) in the new Rohit Shetty film.

Ajay Devgn, who portrayed DCP Bajirao Singham in the hit franchise, made the announcement on X, unveiling Kareena’s character. He wrote, “Fierce, Strong and Singham’s strength! Meet Avni Singham! #SinghamAgain #KareenaKapoorKhan.” Kareena originally portrayed the character of Ajay Devgn’s love interest in Singham Returns. However, in Singham Again, her role takes a new turn as she steps into the shoes of Ajay’s wife in the film.

Kareena, who has previously collaborated with filmmaker Rohit Shetty on three blockbusters Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, and Singham Returns, expressed her excitement about joining the cast of Singham Again on Instagram. She wrote, “It’s about time… 💥💥💥 Rejoining forces with the cop verse 🚔 #SinghamAgain Repost… @itsrohitshetty Meet the strength behind Singham… Avni Bajirao Singham… We first worked together in 2007… 3 blockbusters till now Golmaal Returns Golmaal 3 Singham returns… And now working on our fourth project… Singham Again… 16 year long association. Nothing has changed, Bebo is still the same, simple, sweet and hardworking.”

Rohit Shetty has expanded his cop universe with Singham Again, introducing two new additions — Deepika Padukone as cop Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya. Singham Again will also bring together Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh on the big screen as Singham, Sooryavanshi, and Simmba, respectively.

The film recently began shooting in Hyderabad and is gearing up for a grand release during the Independence Day weekend next year, coinciding with the release of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.
