Sidharth Malhotra gave Shanaya Kapoor a midnight birthday surprise during SOTY shoot, Varun Dhawan said, ‘Vo uski fan hai, main kyun jaau?’
In the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sanjay Kapoor revealed that Sidharth Malhotra gave his daughter Shanaya a special midnight birthday surprise when she was just 13.

The latest episode of Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show hosted the cast of Param Sundari – Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Inayat Verma. A standout moment from the episode was Sanjay Kapoor revealing that his daughter Shanaya had a crush on Sidharth back in his Student of the Year days.
Sanjay said, “It was Shanaya’s 13th birthday. At that time, he (Sidharth Malhotra) was doing Student Of The Year and she had a crush on him. Karan sent Sidharth at 12 am as a birthday gift.” Sidharth instantly quipped, “I got a text that it’s someone’s birthday. I thought it was his birthday, but it was Shanaya’s. So, I went to his house.” Sanjay then revealed, “Karan had asked both Sid and Varun to go, but Varun was like, “Why will I go? She is Sid’s fan!”
The 13-year-old child actor Inayat Verma has already worked with several big stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, and now Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. Another highlight of the episode came when Inayat revealed how her classmates often get starstruck by the celebrities she has worked with. When Kapil Sharma asked if any of her teachers requested to visit the set while she was shooting with Sidharth, Inayat said, “Yes, they did. ‘I want to click a picture with him. Please Inayat.’ More than teachers, my classmates ask me about how Janhvi ma’am and Sidharth sir are by nature.”

Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota, released in theatres on August 29. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and the audience, it has been performing decently at the box office. The film’s total box office collection in India stands at Rs 16.5 crore.
