Sidharth Anand on Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3: ‘Pathaan is set as a template’

Siddharth Anand hopes Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Salman Khan's Tiger and Hrithik Roshan's Kabir collaborate for a movie. He said when it happens 'it is going to be a treat for the audiences'.

After Salman Khan made an impressive cameo in Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan, there is a lot of excitement over SRK’s character now making a cameo in Tiger 3, which also stars Katrina Kaif and directed by Maneesh Sharma. Pathaan director Siddharth Anand recently opened up about Pathaan’s appearance in Tiger 3 and how YRF’s Spy Universe is shaping up. The spy universe will see crossovers by stars from several franchise films like War, Tiger series and Pathaan.

About Pathan’s cameo in Tiger 3, Siddharth told India Today, “It (Pathaan) is built together by Aadi (Aditya Chopra) and he has more say, I think, in it, because these are his ideas and how he wishes to have them crossover. I am not at all involved in Pathaan in Tiger, but Pathaan is actually set as a template, his character and his look and his persona, so it is easier for anyone to come in and crossover, you just pick up the pieces from there.”

Siddharth, in the same interview, was asked about Hrithik who is also a part of the YRF’s Spy Universe (War, Fighter) and does the actor look at Pathaan as a competition? “He is not competition. He is a part of the universe, I think he is a huge part of this. So, he’s been very supportive and has loved every asset of the film. I had made him hear the music (of Pathaan) long ago and he had loved it… His was the first message to me when the trailer came out, (saying) that he’d loved it.”

“So obviously he’s not looking at it as competition but as how much strength this adds to the universe. What all combinations can do, what all permutations can do. Kabir is a great character and Pathan is superb, so flamboyant, both are such opposites,” Siddharth added.

Siddharth also hopes that Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Salman Khan’s Tiger and Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir come together for a movie. He said, “When you’ll see them on screen, whenever they do and if they do (come together) it is going to be a treat for the audiences, and he also knows it.”
