Shilpa Shetty, who will next be seen in the Hindi film Sukhee, recently spoke about her upbringing and said that since both her parents were working, she barely saw them. Shilpa added that her relationship with her kids is quite different as she and her husband spend a lot of time with the kids and said that they are "very middle class". "We understood that our parents were working and we barely saw them. We only saw them on weekends. Because that was the only time we got with them. They didn't have a choice," Shilpa told Pinkvilla. The actor then said that, unlike her parents, she spends a lot of time with her children. "We spend a lot of time with our kids. We go on long holidays where there is a lot of quality time. We have dinner and breakfast with the kids. Maybe because Raj and I are very middle class, and we've had that kind of middle-class upbringing, we want to give the best to our children because we have the luxury to do that," she said. Shilpa and Raj are parents to two children - son Viaan, and daughter Samisha. At the trailer launch of Sukhee, Shilpa Shetty said that she took the film because her husband Raj Kundra encouraged her to do so. "Raj read the script when I wasn’t home. I had told him that it’s a beautiful film, but I’m not ready for it. When I returned, he told me, ‘Are you crazy?! You have to do this film! He convinced me to take up the film. He forced me to do it and told me there’s a ‘Sukhee’ in all of us. If a man can think that way for a woman-oriented film.," she said. Sukhee is set to release on September 22.
