‘Shehnaaz Gill still trying to come to terms with Sidharth Shukla’s death,’ says Abu Malik: ‘Can’t confirm if she’s dating Raghav Juyal’

(Photo: Shehnaaz Gill/Sidharth Shukla/Raghav Juyal/Instagram)In 2019–2020, two names dominated Indian television for all the right reasons — Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill. The duo, who appeared together on Bigg Boss 13, captured millions of hearts with their natural chemistry and genuine bond. Their friendship quickly became one of the most talked-about relationships in the show’s history, with fans lovingly calling them “SidNaaz.” Though they never confirmed being in a relationship, their connection was undeniable — until tragedy struck in September 2021, when Sidharth passed away from a massive heart attack.
Since then, many believe Shehnaaz is still mourning his loss, while others have speculated about her rumoured closeness with actor-dancer Raghav Juyal. However, music composer Abu Malik, brother of Anu Malik and a close friend of the duo, has now clarified that Shehnaaz is not yet over Sidharth’s passing.
Speaking to Vickey Lalwani, Abu said, “They are all very close friends and genuinely nice people. But the story about Shehnaaz and Raghav dating is difficult to confirm because Shehnaaz is still trying to come to terms with Sidharth’s death. I think it will take her another couple of years to move on. That said, Raghav and Shehnaaz look good together, and if they ever come out as a couple, they will make a lovely pair. My only suggestion to Shehnaaz is to move on in life.”

Recalling the day Sidharth passed away, Abu shared, “When I heard the news, I just couldn’t believe it. I was hospitalised for deep vein thrombosis in my left leg when the nurse told me Sidharth Shukla had died. I immediately tried calling Shehnaaz, but couldn’t reach her. Once I was discharged after 10 days, I went to meet her and Sidharth’s family. I planned to stay for an hour but ended up being there for seven hours.”
Despite their own heartbreak, Abu was moved by Shehnaaz and Sidharth’s mother’s compassion. “Both of them were more concerned about my health. They kept telling me to take care of myself. Compared to their loss, my pain was nothing — and yet, they were the ones comforting me,” he said.
