Shatrughan Sinha, along with his wife Poonam Sinha, beamed with joy as they attended their daughter, Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha's pre-wedding festivities on Saturday.

Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha, along with his wife Poonam Sinha, beamed with joy as they attended their daughter, Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha’s pre-wedding festivities on Saturday. Sonakshi is all set to tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal today.

On Saturday, Sonakshi Sinha’s parents hosted a puja at their home, where the actor and her mother participated in the rituals together. Before the puja, Sonakshi and Zaheer had organised a small party and mehendi ceremony for their close circle of friends and family.

Earlier, rumours circulated about the Sinha family’s initial reservations regarding Sonakshi’s marriage with Zaheer, fueled in part by Shatrughan Sinha’s comments to the media where he mentioned he was “waiting to be informed” about his daughter’s wedding. He expressed his views on modern children not seeking parental consent before making decisions.

However, Shatrughan later clarified his stance, expressing his support for his daughter’s decision and dispelling rumours that he would not attend her wedding. He even posed with Zaheer and his family for the paparazzi.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are set to have a registered marriage. The actor’s mother recently left their Juhu home, Ramayan, and Zaheer Iqbal has also stepped out from his Bandra residence. The couple and their families will gather at Sonakshi’s apartment in Bandra for the registered marriage ceremony.
