Shah Rukh Khan leaves audience cheering for him as he dances to Jawan, Pathaan songs at WPL 2024, says ‘Women will break stereotypes’. Watch

From dancing to his hit songs to interacting with the audience, Shah Rukh Khan did it all to entertain the audience at the opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan enthralled the audience at the opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. From dancing to his hit songs to interacting with the audience, the actor did it all. Several videos and photos from the event surfaced on social media.

One of the videos, which was shared by Shah Rukh’s fan account, shows the actor recreating his Pathaan dialogue, “Party Pathaan ke ghar par rakhoge to mehman nawazi ke liye Pathaan toh aayega.” Later, he danced to the beats of “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” and Jawan’s hit number “Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya”. He also danced with the captains of the five teams competing in the tournament.

Before his performance, Shah Rukh Khan addressed the audience and said, “Humara desh sadiyon se naari shakti pe depend karta (Our country has depended on women’s power for ages, be it Mother India, Mother Earth or the sweet mothers sitting at our homes. Women have been running companies as CEOs and they have been running houses as mothers and nurturing children. Women are going to break all the glass ceilings and stereotypes.”

Shah Rukh’s manager Pooja Dadlani shared his pictures on Instagram and captioned them, “Women’s Premier League 2024!! Always making it special for all the girls 💕💕.”

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the opening ceremony of the sporting event also saw performances by other Bollywood actors, including Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan and Sidharth Malhotra.

Shah Rukh Khan owns a company in IPL. He is the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and is often seen at stadiums with his children, Suhana, AbRam and Aaryan, during the tournament.
