Shah Rukh Khan hugs teary Suhana Khan, kisses wife Gauri Khan as KKR wins IPL 2024: ‘I am so happy’

KKR’s victory celebration, led by SRK, became viral on social media platforms with fans sharing heartwarming videos of the actor revelling in the triumph of his team, surrounded by his family. The IPL team won the finals after a gap of 10 years. This win comes after a health scare for the DDLJ star, who was hospitalised for heatstroke during a previous match in Ahmedabad.

As soon as the team won, Shah Rukh raced towards the pitch to hug and congratulate almost every player of his team. The sheer elation that came with the victory was palpable in the air, and SRK didn’t miss a single moment to celebrate this triumph with his team, mentor and loved ones. In a heartwarming gesture, Shah Rukh kissed KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir, recognising his instrumental role in their success at IPL.

There was an especially endearing moment when Shah Rukh was seen hugging his wife Gauri Khan after the team’s win, his joy palpable even through the screen. He later planted a kiss on her forehead. A fan-shared video also captured an emotional moment between SRK and his daughter, Suhana Khan, who was overcome with joy and tearfully hugged her father. In the video she is heard asking, “Are you happy?” to which Shah Rukk replies, “I’m so happy!” The heartwarming embrace, joined by their sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan, is pure gold.

Despite the recent heatstroke, SRK, along with his family and friends, brought their enthusiastic support to the IPL 2024 finals in Chennai. Cheering from the stands for his team, KKR, the 58-year-old was joined by his wife Gauri, children Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam, manager Pooja Dadlani, and Suhana’s friends Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor.

SRK, still recovering from his heatstroke, donned a mask and a purple tee at the start. A small bandage on his hand hinted at the recent intravenous treatment. Later, ditching the mask and sporting a black tee and sunglasses, he joined the on-field celebrations, even recreating his iconic arms outstretch, winning the internet’s heart.
